Destiny House Story
The Destiny House Story

Destiny's House is a SAFE transitional home for teens/women who want a true change in their lives away from the sex trafficking/prostitution lifestyle.

The vision for Destiny House was birthed out of the need to provide transitional housing for the women that Hookers For Jesus was reaching out to and rescuing from sex trafficking. (sex industry)

Through the ministry of Hookers For Jesus, Annie our founder, was continuing to bring ladies to church who were desiring to change their lives. Once each lady made the decision change, their was often no place to take each lady to heal/recover from the traumatic lifestyle experienced. Annie would often take ladies into her own personal home or would put each lady into a temporary weekly hotel, until she could find each lady a decent and safe place to stay.

Sharing her heart with her pastors, Annie's hope & desire was that one day there would be a solution to a never ending problem of homelessness and brokenness for each girl attempting recovery. She knew that God was a God of restoration-and opening a safe home--where the girls could finally be a part of a community of people and family that would love them to wholeness, was not really her plan, but His. She wrote the pastors with this simple request and prayer:

"I would like to have our church have a home for women someday soon...my vision is to create a place like this, but focused on sex industry women as well as battered, addicted women-but on an upscale level. It will be so nice that when the women check in, they will love it so much that they will not want to leave!. I pray this comes to pass."  June 26, 2007

In 2008, Annie moved into the house, and The first Destiny House was born!

But why Destiny?

Destiny was the name of a mis-carried child by our founder. Annie knew that her child Destiny-did not have a real chance to fulfill her life's purpose.  It was in her heart to name this house Destiny, not only to honor her, but to give others a chance for a brand new life.
